"Working with the kids at Evoke Fitness is such a rich experience! What I love the most about working here is seeing kids develop an interest for performance arts. At a very young age, tempo, rhythm, musicality, and creativity become their second nature."

"My favorite thing about being an instructor for Evoke Fitness is getting to see all of my students gain more confidence every class. It is so rewarding to watch them master a new step and then demonstrate to their peers what they have learned. The performance at the end of each session is always a rewarding part of the class because all of their hard work is showcased and they are always so excited to show their family and friends what we have been working on throughout the entire session. Seeing the difference between the shy students who walked into the room on the first day of class to learn hip-hop for the first time, and the smiling, confident students who shine onstage during their hip-hop performance is wonderful."

Marina is a UC Santa Barbara alumnae, class of 2007 where she graduated with a degree in Hydrologic and Environmental Sciences. She is currently a yoga teacher with Evoke Fitness. She fulfilled her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016. She has 2 years worth of experience teaching yoga and acroyoga to children and adults.

"One of my favorite things about teaching for Evoke Fitness is seeing some of my past students around the schools or around Santa Barbara! They give me the warmest hugs or best high fives ever! Watching the growth of my students from season to season and year to year inspires me to continue teaching!"
